THE THREE MAJOR SPIRITUAL FESTIVALS  2013

1. The Festival of Easter:   March 25 - 29, 2013
On this day the Hierarchy will be recognized and the nature of God's love will be emphasized. 
Aries full moon - Mar 27: Full Ari 4:28am EST; 3:28am CST; 1:28am PST; 9:28am GMT

2. The Wesak Festival: April 23 - 27
"the greatest event upon our planet, from the stand point of the Spiritual verities, and the one which has the greatest effect upon the human race."  The Master Djwhal Khul
Taurus full moon - Apr 25: 2:58pm  EST;  1:58pm CST;  11:58am PAC;  7:58pm GMT

3. World Invocation Day Fest: May 22 - 26 (also called the Festival of Humanity & the Christ Festival)
Gemini full moon -  May 24:  11:26pm EST; 10:26pm CST; 8:26pm PST; 4:26am GMT 5/25

Each festival covers a special period of five days (two days preceding, the day of the Festival, and the two following days), with the climax on the day of the Festival itself, when women and men of goodwill can cooperate much more effectively than at other times, in meditation and through the direction of energy, with the spiritual Hierarchy and those who stand behind the evolution of consciousness of our planet.

1. THE FESTIVAL OF EASTER

Aries full moon;  Keynote: Love
"I come forth and from the plane of mind, I rule."

This is the Festival of the risen, living Christ, the Teacher of all men and the Head of the Spiritual Hierarchy. He is the expression of the love of God. On this day the Hierarchy, which He guides and directs, will be recognized and the nature of God's love will be emphasized. 

This Festival is determined always by the date of the first Full Moon of spring and is the great Western and Christian Festival.

Esoteric ruler: Mercury - 4th Ray (see keynotes 3 and 4 below). Exoteric ruler: Mars - 6th Ray Ray 1 and Ray 7 are transmitted through Aries.

Aries is the expression of will as it expresses itself through the great creative process.Aries initiates the cycle of manifestation. It is the place where the initial idea to institute activity takes place. It is the birthplace of ideas. Aries is the sign of beginnings: Creation - Being - Activity - Strife - Synthesis

The keynotes of this sign: 
1. Express the will to be and do.
2. Unfold the power to manifest.
3. Enter into battle for the Lord.
4. Arrive at unity through effort.

2. THE WESAK FESTIVAL

The full moon (Taurus) of the Buddha
Keynotes: wisdom & divine purpose
"I see and when the eye is opened, all is light."

This is the Festival of the Buddha, the spiritual Intermediary between the highest spiritual center, Shamballa, and the Hierarchy. The Buddha is the expression of the wisdom of God, the Embodiment of Light and the Indicator of the divine purpose. This will be fixed annually in relation to the Full Moon of May, as is at present the case. It is the great Eastern Festival.. the greatest event upon our planet, from the stand point of the Spiritual verities, and the one which has the greatest effect upon the human race.

3. WORLD INVOCATION DAY (also called the Festival of Humanity and the Christ Festival)

The full moon (Gemini) of the Christ.
Keynote: humanity, aspiring to God
"I recognize my other self and in the waning of that self, I grow and glow."

This will be the Festival of the spirit of humanity aspiring towards God, seeking conformity with the will of God and dedicated to the expression of right human relations. This will be fixed annually in relation to the Gemini Full Moon. It will be a day whereon the spiritual and divine nature of mankind will be recognized.

World Invocation Day is a world day of prayer and meditation when men and women of every spiritual path join in a universal appeal to divinity and use the Great Invocation (see below). Together they focus the invocative demand of humanity for the light, the love and the spiritual direction needed to build a world of justice, unity and peace. 

On this Festival for two thousand years the Christ has represented humanity and has stood before the Hierarchy and in the sight of Shamballa as the God-Man, the Leader of His people, and "the Eldest in a great family of brothers" (Romans VIII:29). Each year at that time He has preached the last sermon on the Buddha, before the assembled Hierarchy. This will, therefore be a festival of deep invocation and appeal, of a basic aspiration towards fellowship, of human and spiritual unity, and will represent the effect in the human consciousness of the work of the Buddha and of the Christ.

Relationship of the Two Festivals  (Wesak & World Invocation Day)
(From the Wesak Message 1944)

At the time of the Wesak Festival , the Buddha will sound out a great mantram and become the "absorbing Agent" of the first ray force. He will use the magnetic power of the second ray to attract this force to Himself and hold it steady, prior to redirecting it. The Christ will then ---on behalf of the Hierarchy--- become the "receiving Agent" of this potent energy and the seven groups of Masters Who work with the human and sub-human kingdoms will (in response to His demand) become the "directing Agents" for the seven fold expression of this force.

At the time of the Festival of Humanity (World Invocation Day), the Hierarchy will, under the guidance of the Christ, let loose this will-to-good upon Humanity, producing seven great results, according to the seven sub-rays of this first ray of will or power:

1. Power will be given to the disciples of the world and the initiates among men, so that They can direct efficiently and wisely the coming process of rebuilding.

2. The will-to-love will stimulate the men of goodwill everywhere that hatred will gradually be overcome and men will seek to live together cooperatively. This will take some time, but the inner urge is there and subject to stimulation.

3. The will-to-action will lead intelligent people throughout the world to inaugurate those activities which will lay the foundation for a new, better and happier world.

4. The will-to-cooperate will steadily increase also. Men will desire and demand the right human relations-a result more general than that produced by the activity of the first three aspects of this ray, but which will be a natural outcome of this aspect.

5. The will-to-know and to think correctly and creatively will become an outstanding characteristic of the masses. Knowledge, my brothers, is the first step towards wisdom.

6. The will-to-persist (which is an aspect of devotion and fixed idealism) will become a human characteristic- a sublimation of the basic instinct of self-preservation. This will lead to a persistent belief in the ideals presented by the Hierarchy, and the demonstration of immortality.

7. The will-to-organize will further a building process which will be carried forward under the direct inspiration of the Hierarchy. The medium will be the potency of the will-to-good of the New Group of World Servers and the responsive goodwill of mankind.

At the time of the full moon festivals, the moon stands on the far side of the earth, away from the sun. This leaves a full, direct and unimpeded relationship between the earth and the sun, the source of our life, energy and consciousness, symbolic of the relationship between the human personality and the soul.

Speaking symbolically, and remembering that symbols always veil a truth, it might be stated that, at the time of the full moon it is as if a door were suddenly opened wide, which at other times stands closed. Through that door, aspirants and disciples can contact energies which are otherwise not easily available. Through that door, approach can be made to Those Who guide the race and to truth and reality, which at other times is not possible. Of this, all who stand on either side of the door can avail themselves, and this will be so increasingly.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God

Let purpose guide the little wills of men --
The purpose which the Masters know & serve.

From the center which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love & Light work out.
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

*In the Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and Jewish translations of the Great Invocation, the name by which the Coming One is known in these religions is used --- the Lord Maitreya, Krishna, the Imam Mahdi and the Messiah. He will soon be working openly from the world stage, instead of from behind the scenes as He does now.

The Voice of the People, so vigorous and confident now, must continue to ring out through all the world, affirming Sharing and Justice as the only way to engender trust and a safer world for all. The remedy for men’s ills is so simple, so easy of achievement, yet so difficult for many to grasp. Men must realize that every other method has been tried and has failed, ending inevitably in war.
Today, let all be assured, another major war would be nuclear, and would destroy, utterly, all life on Earth. Today, also, there are forces who are already planning how best to survive such annihilation, all to no avail. What can, and should, humanity do?
Broadly speaking, the governments today are organizations of elderly men who know no other way to work and govern than the ways of their youth, the ways of the past. They have little sense of why their methods no longer work. They know nothing of the new energies and impulses which flood the world today, and are baffled and betrayed by their inability to control events.
